Spring

How sweet and lush then,

Are the sounds of the choir

Composed of my feathery companions

The amazing scent of lilac and rosemary,

Mingle with the view of the tilted cherry tree

in full bloom;

Spring is here.

There is a breeze that runs through the leaves around me

Swaying and dancing with joy

She knows I’ve written about her

The Sun plans its next move

As I’ve hidden more so in the shade

Than He appreciates

Burn oh great one,

Entice my melanin to show once more

Now that Winter has said goodbye.

I planted a flower bush today

So satisfying it is to Sheppard

The green that assists our breathing.
